Brief Description

CASP (Charles Adams Studio Project) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) founded in 2009 in Lubbock, TX. CASP is committed to the development of creative opportunities for artists and the general public, and the cultural enrichment of the Lubbock community and greater West Texas region.

The CASP AIR program provides artists with a four-month residency in the Lubbock Arts District. The residency includes room and board and a $500 monthly stipend, offering artists the opportunity to focus on their work in a rich and supportive creative environment.

A residency at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica provides the a unique opportunity to experience Venice, not as a tourist, but as an independent, working artist in the Studio’s international creative community. Brief Description

The mission of the Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, New York, is to operate and maintain an artists' workspace that encourages the voice and vision of individual women artists, to provide professional opportunities for women artists at various stages of their careers, and to promote programs designed to stimulate public involvement, awareness, and support for the visual arts.

The six-to eight-week residency is awarded to women artists at any stage in their careers eager to create new work in any of the studios's disciplines, including intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics.

The program provides a stipend of $350 per week, up to $500 for materials used during the residency, up to $250 for travel within the continental United States, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WCW can also provide technical advice and production assistance.

Brief Description

Brief Description

For nearly four decades, the core mission of the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts has been to provide artists from around the world with dedicated time, space, and resources to conduct research and create new work across conceptual, material, performative, and social practices.

To help advance this mission, the center is accepting applications for its fall 2021 Artists-in-Residence program. The center is located in downtown Omaha, Nebraska's historic Old Market, and residences feature private live/work studios complete with a kitchen and bathroom and 24-hour access to the expansive installation and production spaces within the center's 110,000-square-foot main facility and Okada Sculpture & Ceramics Facility, a 9,000-square-foot sculpture fabrication space and workshop. A Bemis residency also includes complimentary laundry facilities, utilities, WiFi, and access to an on-site research library.

Disciplines invited to apply include but are not limited to the visual arts, media/new genre, performance, architecture, film/video, literature, interdisciplinary arts, music composition, and choreography. Through the program, U.S.-based artists-in residence receive a $1,000 monthly stipend and an additional $750 travel stipend. Due to the limitations of B2 visas (touring/visiting), international artists-in-residence are eligible to receive reimbursement of qualified expenses such as airfare, ground transportation, and meals.

Although this is a process-based residency and there is no expectation or promise of an exhibition, artists are invited to participate in at least one opportunity for public presentation. Selected artists must attend a minimum of eight consecutive weeks to receive the award.

Although originally built in 1969 as a luxury communal home for three prominent couples, the KHN Center has become a renowned artist residency program located in southeastern Nebraska.

Since 2001, the residency has hosted more than 50 working artists each year which include a combination of visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists from across the country and around the world. Each has found privacy in which to create along with ample opportunities to interact with fellow artists in a friendly community located in the rolling bluff country of eastern Nebraska. The KHN Center accommodates up to five artists at a time for stays that vary from two to eight weeks.

Brief Description

Artpace annually hosts three residencies (spring, summer, and fall). Each residency includes one Texas artist, one national artist, and one international artist, selected by a guest curator. The eight-week residency culminates in a two-month exhibition onsite. The mission of this program is to provide artists with unparalleled resources and support that allow them to experiment with new ideas and take provocative risks. More than 200 artists at various stages in their careers have been selected to participate in the program.

An Artpace residency includes travel expenses, a living stipend, a materials budget, an apartment, and studio/exhibition space. Resident artists have access to fully equipped wood and metal workshops and a video-editing workstation, in addition to technical and administrative support. The residency is followed by a two-month exhibition of the project created, which is documented for Artpace’s archive.
